 ORLANDO (July 13, 2005) Rosen Hotels & Resorts in Orlando is pleased to announce the appointment of Marjorie Lane as Regional Sales Director for the Washington, DC area. Lane joins Rosen Hotels & Resorts as a hospitality industry veteran, with over 25 years in the industry.
Prior to this appointment, Lane was an independent sales and marketing consultant to the hospitality industry, as well as director of sales and marketing for Washington, DC-area hotels including the Watergate Hotel, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts and Wyndham hotels, as well as a past president of the Potomac Chapter of Meeting Planners International. The Washington, DC sales office goal is to promote the Rosen Hotels & Resorts meeting and convention properties to meeting planners in the area. These properties include: • Rosen Plaza The Rosen Plaza features over 60,000 sq. ft. of conference space and 800 superior guest rooms and suites in an impressive meetings hotel conveniently located next to the Orange County Convention Center. • Rosen Centre The Rosen Centre is a spectacular convention hotel with 106,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and 1,334 beautiful guest rooms and suites conveniently located next to the Orange County Convention Center. • Rosen Shingle Creek Resort & Golf Club Opening Fall 2006 Shingle Creek Resort will include 1,500 guestrooms and suites, over 250,000 square feet of "state of the art" ballroom and meeting facilities.
