ORLANDO (October 20, 2005) – If there were anything good that could come out of the Hurricane Katrina tragedy, it would be Seth Richardson, according to Victoria Hall, Director of Sales, Rosen Plaza, in Orlando. Richardson recently relocated to Orlando from New Orleans and joins the Rosen Plaza’s sales team as sales manager for the West Coast and Texas territories.

Richardson was forced to relocate immediately after Hurricane Katrina’s flooding. At the time, he had been a sales manager for four months with the Royal Sonesta Hotel, New Orleans, handling the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Prior to this position, Richardson was a sales manager for two years with the Bourbon Orleans, a Wyndham Historic Hotel. There he serviced the International and Mid-West territories.

“Seth is a wonderful addition to our sales team,” says Hall. “It’s an unfortunate situation that brought him to us. But if there were a silver lining to such a tragedy, this would be it. We are elated he has decided to join our team and become an integral part of it.”

Richardson’s hospitality ambitions started early in his career when he joined the Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort as a bellman and was quickly promoted to conference services coordinator upon his graduation from the University of Florida. Richardson has held positions as executive meeting manager at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Miss. and as sales manager for the Florida, Georgia and Texas territories at the Embassy Suites Destin-Miramar Beach, Fla.

Richardson is a scratch golfer and enjoys inshore and offshore fishing, traveling and working in a community. Richardson resides in Orlando.
